Total Performance Lab Upgrades

posted on September 23, 2026

Hello Union Fitness gang!

I wanted to take some time and discuss our Total Performance Lab (the class room). We’re very excited with how this room has  transformed and have even upgraded some of the old equipment! It has served its purpose well supporting all the classes we offer, along with adding an additional space for fitness center members to train while class is not in session.

With this in mind, the main use for the space is intended for classes. Let’s please hold ourselves accountable for keeping this space clean and organized after using the space during non class hours. We have noticed a gradual increase in equipment being left strung out and stored incorrectly. This results in coaches being left to clean and organize the space last minute before the start of class.

Here is a general check list of how the room should be organized along with some picture visuals!

  • Benches folded into racks
  • Bumper plates on correctly marked holders
  • Bars off the floor placed on safety pins
  • TRX straps wrapped around the left side, chains hanging from the right
  • DB, KB, FB, and power blocks off the floor and on appropriate shelves
  • Cardio equipment and sleds placed on the borders of turf
  • Mats, boxes, pads, landmines, and PVC organized in the closet
  • MB and SB placed on their respected racks
  • Plyo boxes stacked by the door

We encourage everyone to take advantage and utilize this space, but please do not let your laziness become another member or staff’s problem! This same message goes for the strength lab and fitness center. Thanks for reading, let’s continue to hold ourselves accountable and be great!Tristan
